My husband and I have been tossing around the idea of making a large marionette and then doing a little short or performing live with it as a summer project.

Thank you. I feel like I've really started to find my voice, so to speak, with the way I do faces now.
I love the wood too, it gives such a rustic feel. I started out with sculpted limbs, hands, and feet for this one, but something about her cried out for wood (that sounds slightly dirty)
