I absolutely love your dolls. I just read your article in Art Doll Quarterly a while ago and now I'm so happy to find out you have a Deviantart account so I can see all your other amazing work. I love your technique, it seems so simple and yet so very original. Great work.

Hey do you have any tips for doing the armature for dolls? I've tried using foam for the head and it cracked while baking. I've tried using aluminum, but I can never seem to get it smoothed out and I end up having weird lumps. I'm not very good with using air dry clay I'm to slow when it comes to sculpting for that XD.

I use a mixture of wire, aluminum covered with florists tape and Styrofoam. Florists tape will help smooth out and lumps in the foil. When using air dry clay, I suggest working in small sections and if an area starts to dry too fast, just brush a little water on it with a small paint brush. Hope this helps!
